bami is a photographic artist and Brooklyn, NY native. She received her M.A. in Studio Arts Photography from NYU in 2005.

Her photography includes portraiture, still life, and pinhole photographs of the NYC subway system. bami's work covers an array of topics from self-preservation to the adoration of individuals who don’t fall into mainstream definitions of beauty. She has exhibited work at the Bronx Museum of the Arts and galleries in Philadelphia, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Brooklyn.

In 2007 she was awarded an Artist in the Marketplace residency from the Bronx Museum of the Arts. In 2008 she was awarded a residency from the Newark Museum in New Jersey.
